As well known as FXP, this use of the FTP protocol offers to a client to make two FTP servers exchange data. This simple PERL implementation allows to understand this mecanism. It can be used in P2P systems (such as YADeG, Boinc, ...) to implement data replication on demand.
The two ftp servers must support passive and active ftp transfers.
